Iowa Wing Encampment
Encampment is a transformative experience that challenges you in ways you might never expect, pushing you to grow both personally and professionally. It will test your self-discipline, your ability to lead, and your capacity to work as part of a team. Through hands-on activities, immersive tours, and mentorship from the cadre, you will be given the opportunity to answer key questions about your own potential. Our goal is to inspire you to develop essential leadership skills, deepen your understanding of aviation, space, and technology, establish a habit of regular physical fitness, and commit to living by the Core Values. As cadets of the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary, your training will not only foster growth in leadership and character but also encourage exploration in STEM fields—science, technology, engineering, and math. You’ll gain insight into potential career paths and develop a deeper appreciation for the limitless opportunities in these critical areas.
